At Edusekart, we understand that customers may occasionally need to cancel orders after placing them. This Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which order cancellations may be requested and processed on the Edusekart marketplace.
Edusekart is a multi-seller marketplace operated by Eduse Marketing Private Limited. Products listed on the platform are sold by independent third-party sellers. Cancellation requests are subject to seller policies, order status, operational feasibility, and applicable laws.
Order Cancellation Eligibility
Customers may request cancellation of an order only before the order has been shipped by the seller.
Once an order has been packed, dispatched, shipped, or handed over to a logistics partner, cancellation requests may no longer be accepted.
How to Cancel an Order
Customers may request order cancellation through:
- Their Edusekart account dashboard
- The order management section
- Customer support assistance where applicable
Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible after placing the order to increase the likelihood of successful cancellation.
Seller Approval
Since products on Edusekart are sold by independent sellers, cancellation requests may be subject to seller approval and operational feasibility.
Cancellation approval may depend on:
- Order processing status
- Inventory allocation status
- Packaging completion status
- Shipment preparation status
- Courier handover status
Orders That Cannot Be Cancelled
Cancellation requests may not be accepted under the following circumstances:
- Order has already been shipped
- Order is out for delivery
- Order has been delivered
- Customized or personalized products have entered production
- Products marked as non-cancellable
- Digital products have been delivered or activated
Seller-Initiated Cancellations
In certain situations, sellers may cancel orders due to:
- Inventory unavailability
- Pricing errors
- Technical issues
- Regulatory restrictions
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Logistical limitations
In such cases, customers will be notified and eligible refunds will be processed accordingly.
Marketplace-Initiated Cancellations
Edusekart reserves the right to cancel orders in situations including but not limited to:
- Fraud prevention measures
- Payment verification failures
- Security concerns
- Violation of platform policies
- Technical errors affecting pricing or availability
Where appropriate, affected customers will be notified regarding the cancellation.
Refunds for Cancelled Orders
If a cancellation request is successfully approved before shipment, any eligible payment received for the order will be refunded.
Refunds are generally initiated within 3 to 4 working days following successful cancellation approval.
Actual credit timelines may vary depending on the customer's bank, payment gateway, card issuer, UPI provider, or wallet provider.
Cash on Delivery Orders
For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders that are cancelled before shipment, no refund process is required since payment has not yet been collected.
Repeated cancellation of COD orders may result in restrictions on future COD eligibility.
Promotional Offers and Coupons
If an order placed using promotional discounts, coupons, wallet credits, or special offers is cancelled, the treatment of such benefits may depend on the applicable promotional terms and conditions.
Edusekart reserves the right to determine eligibility for restoration of promotional benefits on a case-by-case basis.
Abuse of Cancellation Privileges
Edusekart reserves the right to investigate excessive, suspicious, or abusive cancellation behavior.
Accounts engaging in misuse of cancellation facilities may be subject to:
- Account restrictions
- Order limitations
- Removal of COD eligibility
- Temporary or permanent suspension
Customer Responsibility
Customers are encouraged to carefully review product details, pricing, delivery information, and seller policies before placing an order.
Responsible ordering helps ensure a better marketplace experience for both customers and sellers.
